CURRICULUM – INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

MISSION

To train Industrial Engineers who are leaders, entrepreneurs, analytical, and critical thinkers; equipped with the competencies to design, implement, and optimize sustainable systems that generate goods and services, within a culture oriented toward quality, technological development, and social responsibility.


VISION

By 2025, the Industrial Engineering Educational Program will be a regional leader in the following areas:

  • Teaching. Comprehensive education of Industrial Engineers recognized for its quality.
  • Community Engagement. Graduates will enjoy high prestige and recognition at regional, national, and international levels, acknowledged for their social responsibility.
  • Research. Most faculty members will meet the PRODEP desirable profile, and at least half will belong to the National System of Researchers (SNI). The majority will participate in consolidated or developing academic bodies.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Industrial Engineering degree is designed to be completed in eight semesters, divided into three stages:
Basic, Disciplinary, and Terminal.
The final stage includes three areas of emphasis: Quality and Productivity, Business Development, and Manufacturing.

The curriculum consists of required and elective courses totaling 350 credits, of which 80% correspond to required courses and 20% to electives.

Community Engagement Projects form an integral part of the Curriculum Plan.
