Admission Profile

Applicants to the Industrial Chemistry program must possess the following characteristics:

Graduation Profile

The Industrial Chemist is a professional who, disciplinarily or interdisciplinarily, applies the laws and knowledge of chemistry and the exact sciences in the practical application of knowledge, technological development, and the optimization of industrial processes, evaluating operational conditions through analytical techniques. This enables them to implement continuous improvement strategies aimed at sustainable development, in accordance with current regulations, and with a strong sense of social responsibility.
Will be competent to:

  • Implement, maintain, and improve quality management systems in compliance with relevant regulations, to ensure the quality of goods or services, with objectivity and respect.
  • Evaluate the physical, chemical, and biological properties of raw materials and finished products to contribute to their improvement or development, applying standardized methods and acting with objectivity, responsibility, and honesty.
  • Assess the operational conditions of industrial and service processes using analytical techniques and considering current regulations and technological developments, to implement strategies for pollution prevention and control, as well as environmental and occupational optimization and management, with social responsibility and environmental awareness.
  • Identify and quantify analytes using modern instrumental analysis techniques and proper interpretation of the associated literature, to contribute to the improvement of scientifically and technologically relevant processes within a framework of responsibility and honesty.
