PASOS A SEGUIR PARA EL INTERCAMBIO ESTUDIANTIL
DE LICENCIATURA
At the beginning of each semester, a call for national and international exchanges is published on the following UABC page: CGVCA.
Students interested in participating in a national or international exchange must read the full call. If they meet the requirements, they can begin filling out an online application on the website: https://movilidad.uabc.mx/ (Undergraduate section: Exchange).
Additional forms that need to be completed are available at the following link: CGVCA.
It is recommended to read the following brochure designed by UABC for the exchange program: UABC Mobility.
Additionally, you can consult the tutorial on the exchange website, which explains how to complete your application, available at the following link: Mobility Tutorial.
Similarly, students should contact the faculty’s mobility coordinator, who will assist in clarifying any questions regarding the student exchange call.
It is important to highlight the following requirements that students must meet to participate in the exchange call:
- Not having failed more than 3 courses throughout their entire degree.
- Having a minimum overall GPA of 80.
- If applying for the “Alas para Volar” scholarship, a minimum GPA of 85 is required.
- Being a regular/enrolled student.
- Having completed at least 50% and no more than 90% of the degree credits.
The university to be selected must be one that has an agreement with UABC and is listed in the call published that semester.
Additionally, the student must contact their undergraduate tutor and their program coordinator to schedule an interview and receive guidance regarding the exchange.
It is important to note that the student must choose six courses they could take at the host university. The tutor, program coordinator, and mobility coordinator will provide advice to help the student select these courses. The chosen courses must be approved by both the tutor and the program coordinator.
Additionally, the student must contact the Psychology Unit of the FCQI at psicopedagogico.fcqi@uabc.edu.mx to attend a psychological session. The purpose of this session is to provide training to help the student cope with the changes they will experience during their exchange, equipping them with tools to handle new situations while away from home.
The student must upload the forms requested in the call at least one week before the application deadline so they can be reviewed by the faculty’s mobility coordinator. If necessary, appropriate adjustments can be made.
If the student wishes to apply for the Fundación UABC Scholarship (Alas para Volar), they must also complete the scholarship application, which can be found on the following page: Fundación UABC.
It is recommended that the student also read the document on the complementary provisions for the student exchange program, Art. 181, section “E”, which is available at the following link: Complementary Provisions.
Remember that all documents must be completed and signed. It is important that the faculty director signs the application, and that both the program coordinator and the tutor sign the equivalency document.
